Some of the best student accommodation London<\/a><\/strong> has to offer is located in Bloomsbury, and if you are lucky enough to be staying in this area you\u2019ll find some of my favourite attractions virtually outside your front door.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Culture: The British Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n

Imagine how you will impress your family when you tell them that the British Museum is next door to your student accommodation. London\u2019s world famous institution is just a short walk from the student apartment at Rathbone Place<\/a><\/strong>, and when I stayed here I enjoyed telling my friends back home that my neighbours were Egyptian mummies!<\/p>\n

The museum is open daily from 10.00 to 17.00, and (best of all) entry to the museum is absolutely free so you can go back as many times as you like.<\/p>\n

Food: Bloomsbury Farmers\u2019 Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

Set the alarm on your phone for every Thursday lunchtime while you are studying here. There is a farmers\u2019 market in Torrington Square<\/a><\/strong>, which is not far from your student accommodation. Londoners have become great supporters of artisanal produce over the years, and this market is worth a regular visit.<\/p>\n

The market is located between the London University Student Union and UCL, so you\u2019ll find some tasty treats and lots of other students. I have been told that each month there is a seasonal feature \u2013 from peas in June to corn in September.<\/p>\n

Green Spaces: Street Squares<\/strong><\/p>\n

I cannot think of many urban places where you\u2019ll find as many unexpected gardens as you will in Bloomsbury. Lots of the streets have been designed around a central garden \u2013 you\u2019ll recognise them by the wrought iron fences that protect them. Amazingly these small spaces are open to the public.<\/p>\n

As soon as the days start to warm up you\u2019ll find students and office workers eating picnics on the grass, playing frisbee or reading on the benches by the flower beds.<\/p>\n

Leisure: Bowling<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes<\/a><\/strong> are located very close to the student accommodation. London\u2019s most famous bowling alley is certainly worth a night out, but if you want to save some pennies then you can get off peak rates by turning up before 16.00 on Monday to Wednesday between January and November.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t go there just for the bowling, though. Ray\u2019s Pizza and Diner serves the Strike Burger which was voted the second best burger in the city!<\/p>\n

In my opinion you will get a fantastic experience if you choose to live in Bloomsbury while you are studying in the capital. If I had to pick just one area in the whole city to describe to someone as the student centre of the city, this is the one I would choose.<\/p>\n
